Welcome to the Armatage neighborhood!

The Armatage Neighborhood Association (ANA) was founded in 1991 as part of a citywide effort to increase opportunities for residents to connect with city and to allow neighborhoods to address local concerns.

Located in the southwest corner of the city, Armatage neighborhood is bounded on:

  • the north by 54th Street W
  • the east by Logan Ave S
  • the south by Hwy 62 (Crosstown)
  • the west by Xerxes Ave S

Police Advisory - Sexual Assault

On Sunday November 22 at approximately 9 pm, in the parking ramp at 3001 Hennepin Av S, an adult woman was found by witnesses to be lying unconscious near her running vehicle. She was partially undressed. She did not remember anything. It is believed she was possibly raped.

There is limited information at this time. Currently there is no suspect description. There is no further information on this case at this time.

If you have any information on this case, including any information that can help identify a suspect, please call the Sex Crimes unit at 612.673.3081 in reference to police case number 15-431483.

What you can do:

• For information on sexual assault and rapes, please view our handouts/brochures on three important topics: Myths and Misconceptions about Rape/Sexual Assault, Rape/Sexual Assault: What to do if it happens to you, and Risk Reduction for Rape (http://go.usa.gov/c2cb4).
• ALL primary and secondary survivors of any sort of sexual violence can get FREE help and counseling through the Sexual Violence Center. Their 24-hour crisis line is 612-871-5111. A ‘secondary survivor’ is anyone who was not the direct victim of sexual violence but who feels affected by it.
• Call 911 on suspicious activity at the time you see it. This includes helping others by calling 911 if you witness a crime or someone possibly in trouble.
• Alert others to suspicious incidents if appropriate and if this can be done safely for all involved.
• Trust your instincts: if something feels off, there is a reason for it.
• If you have a building that has surveillance, ensure that the video is working, good quality, and can be retrieved
• Become a block leader! Receive detailed alerts of most crimes in your area and forward to your neighbors. Contact your Crime Prevention Specialist for more information.
