The burglaries occurred between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Two of the incidents happened between 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All of the burglaries were on Monday through Friday, while residents were away. Some have been identified, but there may be several parties involved. The MPD has dedicated extra patrols to the area. Investigators are working with other agencies to compare information about similar incidents. What you can do: • Always lock all doors and windows, including garages. • Lock your car doors even if the vehicle is inside your garage. • Keep your property well-lit. • Know your neighbors so you are aware of normal activity on and around their property. • Watch over your neighbors’ properties as well as your own. • Organize or revitalize an existing block club or neighborhood watch group. • Record the make, model, and serial number of your bicycle, lawnmower, snowblower, and other valuables. • Call 911 to report suspicious activity. This includes unusual noises, strangers walking down your alley and looking in garages, loitering, or vehicles with occupants you don’t recognize circling the block. Please pass this information along to neighbors, block members, or anyone you know who may be interested or affected. |
