The ANA is offering Native Plant Rebates to increase pollinator habitat in the neighborhood! Native plants in urban neighborhoods help create much-needed corridors for pollinators like monarchs and bees. The ANA will send you a rebate for 50% of your native plant purchase up to a max of $20/address through September 30 or while funds last.
To be eligible for a rebate, you must purchase plants native to our area only from a locally-owned store. Ask an employee to point you toward native plants if you aren’t sure where to find them. If you’re starting a new garden from scratch, Bachman’s offers pollinator packs of 6 plants that work well together.
Unfortunately, plants at large national chain stores are often treated with neonicotinoid insecticides, which are incredibly harmful to bees and other pollinators, so we cannot accept purchases from these spots.
The deadline to apply for a rebate is September 30 or until funds run out, so don’t delay in buying your new native plants.
- Head to a locally-owned garden store like Wagners, Bachmans, Sunnyside Gardens, Mother Earth Gardens, Tangletown Gardens, etc. to buy your new native plants. Ask for a receipt when you check out.
- Scan or snap a picture of your receipt on your phone.
- Complete our rebate form by September 30, 2020 to apply for a rebate of 50% of your qualifying native plant purchase up to a maximum of $20 per address. Please allow the ANA thirty (30) days to process this request and issue your check:
This program is organized by the ANA Green Team! All are welcome to join meetings the second Thursday of each month. Meeting links are posted at armatage.org/events. Learn more about getting involved at armatage.org/about-armatage-neighborhood/green-team/
