ANA Summer Festival

2018 – Sunday, August 12 • 4:00-7:00pm • Armatage Park

Join us for our annual neighborhood festival down at the park, presented by the ANA and Armatage Park.

We are working hard to make this a zero waste event. Remember to bring a water bottle so you can fill up at the water station thanks to
Minneapolis Tap

Wristbands ($5/$10 family max.) include:

  • Unlimited use of inflatables (giant slide, bounce house, obstacle course, and tot bounce)
  • Facepainting by Magikal Faces
  • Make and take art project with ArtStart

4:00-4:45 — Yoga with Blooma
All ages are welcome to Family Yoga! We encourage you to be silly as we play, sing songs, and move our bodies. Designed for kids and adults, Blooma instructor Kaye will lead families through yoga poses fostering creativity and connection! No need for a mat! We encourage everyone to pose and move on the grass.

4:30 — Magic by Bruce

4:45 & 6:15 — Music by The Melvilles

5:30-6:15 — KidZone interactive entertainment

  • Final Four Fan Jam
    Fans can learn about Final Four initiatives, practice their shot, take a selfie with the National Championship trophy, score giveaways, enter a sweepstakes to win tickets to the 2019 Final Four and more. (www.finalfourminneapolis.com/fanjam).
  • 3rd Lair skate park activities
  • Food trucks, including:
    • Red Wagon Pizza
    • Book Club burgers and dogs
    • Twin Cities Paella
    • Sonny’s Ice Cream

    • Minneapolis Youth Baseball and the pitching radar
    • The Tiny Solar House from Applied Energy Innovations
    • A chance to share your input and ideas about the future of our area parks with the Minneapolis Parks Board
    • Stop by the Citizen’s Utility Board’s table and get some ideas to save energy, save money, and reduce your carbon footprint. Even better, get customized energy saving suggestions for your household by signing up for a free 20 minute energy bill consultation. We rely on donations to make this event happen. Although we receive City funds, none of them are allowed to be spent on the types of activities at our festival.

The Armatage Summer Festival strengthens our community by bringing people and businesses together for a memorable event.

We offer a variety of ways to get involved with our event. With the number of options, there is sure to be a way that you can help make our neighborhood festival happen!

Each area listed required outside funding in order to happen. We will grant specific areas on a first-come, first-served basis.

Magician: $200 (1 available)     Community games: $100 (1 available) Corn hole, giant Jenga, etc.     Carnival game: $125 (Up to 4 available. Fee waived for volunteering to staff game.)*

Allowed activities: talking with event attendees who approach their booth, displaying/passing out literature, sign-up attendees for future communications, running free give-aways/contests • Activities are limited to the area immediately by the table, no amplification allowed • The ANA and Armatage Park reserve the right to deny or otherwise limit tabling opportunities • Tent/table placement is at the ANA’s discretion • You must provide your own tent, if desired. 1 table and chair provided
