After years of hoping, trying, and working with neighbors, city officials, county officials and parks board folks to get a crosswalk put in at W 57th St and Penn Ave, it has happened!!!

Pre-2014 Accomplishments:
- $1.1 million of improvements including a new playground, gym and other school improvements through the Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
- 2000 Installation of public art: The Garden Party by sculpture Scott Wallace
- A low-interest home improvement & emergency loan program for residents
- Neighborhood identity signs
- Business facade improvement grants for Red Wagon, Penn Ave Dental, Bella Custom Homes and more area businesses
- Publish a quarterly newsletter
- Funded the Youthstart Work Program at Armatage Park for 12-15 year-olds
- Support block leader training, and host safety workshops
- Host an annual summer festival, plan community-building events and support park activities since 1996
- Installation of tot lot playground on Washburn Ave in 1993 with major updates in 2018
