Help Shape the Future of SW Parks

The Southwest Parks Planning team will host four upcoming Initial Concept Workshops in January and February. Everyone is invited: please bring family, friends, neighbors and others! Join the Armatage Green Team

Excited about promoting sustainability, clean water, and zero waste throughout the neighborhood?  The Armatage Green Team will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, February 6 at 6:30 pm at  the Armatage Rec Center and all are welcome to join! This event is free (including lunch), open to all community members, and a great way to learn more about getting involved with neighborhoods and the City of Minneapolis. Pre-registration has closed but you can quickly register in person on Saturday.


Volunteer or Paid Snow Shovelers Needed

Senior Community Services is in needed of snow removal workers to help seniors in Southwest Minneapolis this winter. This is a great opportunity to make a difference for seniors in our community!

  • Supply your own shovel and/or snow blower
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Must be 16 years old or older
  • Record dates of service
  • Physically able to remove snow
  • Commit to the entire snow removal season
  • Speak and interact with senior clients respectfully

Armatage Park Ice Skate Drive

It’s not too late to donate unneeded new or gently used skates to the Armatage Rec Center. Kid skates are preferred, but all sizes will be accepted.
