November 2020 Special Election

Join the Armatage Neighborhood Association Board

Love our neighborhood and want to get more involved?  The ANA will hold a special election for two open board seats at the November 17 meeting at 6:30pm on Zoom. Register to get this month’s Zoom link here.

Members of underrepresented communities are especially encouraged to run, including renters, seniors, residents with disabilities, and residents who identify as LGBTQ or BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and/or People of Color).

Time Commitment and Duties:
ANA Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:30pm with an additional time commitment outside of this for committee meetings, events and planning. Board members have a critical role in shaping our neighborhood nonprofit for years to come and Bylaws that govern our non-profit organization and detail board expectations are at https://armatage.org/ana-bylaws/.

If elected, your seat will run for a shortened term from November 2020 – May 2021, after which point you can choose to step off the board or run again for a full two-year term.

Register to Run:
Click here to register to run. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 15 at 11:59pm. Your name, picture and responses (excluding your contact info) will be published in a voter guide at armatage.org on Monday, November 16 and shared with attendees during the meeting (November 17). If you have any questions about this process, please contact our Coordinator, Lauren, at anacoordinator@armatage.org.

Election Process:
The vote will be conducted live via Zoom at the ANA Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, November 17 from 6:30-8:30pm. All Armatage residents 18 years and older and designated representatives of a neighborhood business or institution are eligible to vote.

Pre-registration is required for the meeting – email anacoordinator@armatage.org for this month’s meeting link. Election results will be announced live on Zoom and on the website the following day.
